Yes, we do not access or back up any of your data. Documents shared via QR code are one-way encrypted, and we do not manage the data you share. Only you and those with the QR code can download the files.
2. Can I recover a document I accidentally deleted?
If you've shared it with a friend, they might have downloaded and stored it, allowing you to recover it through them. If shared via QR code, it may still exist on our server for you to re-download. However, for privacy reasons, we cannot access or recover these files for you.
3. What happens if I delete a file shared via QR code?
Deleting the file from your device means relinquishing its link to the QR code. The file remains shared and stored on the server for up to 24 hours before automatic deletion.
4. Is translation of data secure?
No, we use third-party services for translation, which may not be secure. We do not store or cache any of your translated data.
5. Is scanned data from PDFs secure?
Yes, we do not use your data for any purpose, nor do we store it. After download, files may remain on the server for up to 1 hour before automatic cleanup.
6. Can I revoke a shared document?
No, you can only enable or disable sharing via QR code. For users who have already downloaded the document, there is no way to revoke it.
7. Are server-stored files provided to any organization?
No, we do not manage or take responsibility for user-uploaded data. Files are managed by automated cleanup scripts and are not provided to any individual or organization.
8. Is server storage free?
Yes, for users, there is no limit on the number of shared files. For us, we pay for storage and bandwidth costs.
9. Can the app work offline?
No, offline functionality is planned for the future. Currently, an internet connection is required.
10. Can I read external PDF files in the app?
Yes, you can add PDFs to the app through various means: sharing files to the app or directly adding them.
11. Why can't I copy or select text in other apps but can in this app?
It's possible that those apps do not have copy or select features.
12. Why can't I edit PDF files in this app?
We aim to create a compact tool for a single purpose. Adding editing features would complicate the app's functionality. A separate app for editing is planned.
13. Why does this app have ads?
Ads help us offset the costs of maintaining the app, including third-party services. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by ads.
